There’s only one school in the whole city but they only teach jazz, and i wanna be a Heavy Metal lead guitarist. Should i go for jazz?
I would prefer blues because i know there isn’t a metal school but..They don’t have blues, only jazz!

I don’t have time for private personal lessons. Anyone know a good website/software I can buy to learn about guitar theory/techniques and blues/rock guitar? ONLY people who actually tried and learned from these software COMPLETELY answer please. I don’t want people who tried something for 2 days and then quit and tell me to try that particular software. Thanks.
He seems to think he’s an adult. Since Jan. he has smoked pot, drank, shoplifted…doesn’t seem to respect me and does what he wants. Since jan he got placed in SJ Comm school…has to take vta to get there and home. He has several suspensions under his belt. His grades are ok. But as a Mom I know how my son "really" is. Last nite he was out all nite near downtown, ignored my calls, and calls at 11:30 p.m. and wants to be picked up since the busses stop running at 10. We told him to start walking. The whole family is really exhausted from his behavior. I have become a nagging bitch which he cannot stand…and doesn’t care to listen to me. His father is not in the picture. stepdad is disgusted with his tricks, and 21 yr old sister tries to help him but tends to just get angry with him. He is in guitar lessons and does comm serv on the weekends. Can’t afford to send him to bootcamp this summer, which would probably be perfect for him. He also goes to counseling and is on meds for ADHD. My son gets bored often…and always has to occupy himself all of the time.
When he misbehaves and fails to follow my rules I take everything away for anywhere between 2-6 days thanks to a kaiser class I took(block cell phone priveledges, no comp, outside, TV, computer…etc..
At this point I feel sad that he keeps breaking the rules. But know that it is HIS life that he is screwing up. As a parent, what can I do? Feel like givin up on him.
My sisters and I have been performing together since we were 5, 7, and 9, but we’re getting to the age now that we’re being asked to perform at large events and feel that we need an actual name. We’ve always gone by "The Sumbureru Sisters" but not only is that hard to pronounce and remember, we really don’t like our last name (for personal reasons). Does anyone have suggestions for a "band" name that’d be a bit cooler? We play the fiddle (or violin, depending on if you’re a redneck or not) and sing, and between us we also play guitar, banjo, mandolin, piano, trumpet, flute, viola–really just about anything you can imagine–we’re essentially our own bluegrass band and orchestra combined. We’re also teaching lessons locally and trying to find a name for our studio, and it’d be kinda cool if they were interchangeable. It needs to stick too–I’m currently getting a degree in music education and will be going for my Ph D in two years, and my sisters are likewise serious about it.
