Do I need to get guitar/bass lessons again?

I had guitar lessons for a year, then I had bass lessons for a year before quitting because I felt I needed a break. Now I want to start playing bass and guitar again. I play songs at home and I’m going to go through a teach yourself kinda book for both guitar and bass, so do I still need to get lessons?

I want to be a Country Singer. Any advice?

I am 14 years old and I want to be a Country singer more than anything in the world. I’ve been taking voice lessons for about 3 years now, same with guitar. Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time practicing and writing my own songs. I think that I am pretty good now, but I guess that I could get better. When I think that I’m ready what advice do you have for me to get a record deal? My parents said that they will take me to Nashville if I ever need to. I currently live in New Jersey and NYC isn’t far away….. if you needed to know that to answer my question. Thanks! Any advice is greatly appreciated!
