Tis is really sweet! Thanks for sharing.
If I had an extra accoustic, I would do this.
You’re so welcome!
You gotta love the helplessly hoping by CSNY at the end… dude you should do a whole video with just CSNY and Manassas songs like so begins the task !!!!!
Very informative — and beautiful playing — thanks for posting it! I’m gonna try it out on one of my acoustics and see how it sounds with my finger-picking.
@paulrpotts Cool!
Thanks!
You play with the SUN in our hands….
Hey, if you’re an online guitar teacher, could you give advice on how to get started doing that?
@LolOlliepopp Just check the Ashbury Music Hall link!
Thanks for asking!
man whats that song witht he nice finger picking at 1:18 to 1:34 i wanna learn that so bad. pleaser let me know man:)
@KLBRECH1 Blackbird by the Beatles.
Thanks!
I reckon the reason it sounds better nearer the headstock end of the fingerboard is that the thinner strings, where thicker bass strings should be, are disrupting the fixed bridge intonation setting (on most electric guitars this could be easily adjusted), it would be interesting to know how much the added thinner strings at the twelfth fret are off being a true octave above the open string .
Could you use a regular 12 string set and just use the octave strings? Also, What about the nut. Since the nut isnt slotted for the thinner strings on the bottom would it be wise to replace it and use it for nashville tuning only or will it work fine without the mod?
@dannyvawn A twelve string set would work. My guitar tech said he preferred changing some gauges. You should change the nut if you want it perfect or close!
Thanks for asking!
I’ve recently been experimenting with this tuning. It’s actually a very nice sound I really like it. And to Sawlon very nice playing
Happy New Year!
Hi I noticed there are no videos demonstrating the “Texas” tune of the guitar and some examples of songs in that tune
Thanx , good lesson & sweet playing!
@kammhron You’re so welcome! Thanks!

One of the truly wonderful things about music is you literally never stop learning. I’ve been playing guitar for 20 years now and only just now learned about Nashville tuning. I will be dedicating one of my acoustic guitars to this approach for sure. It sounds beautiful. Thank you for uploading this !
@mathowlett Cool! Thanks!
