Man Of Constant Sorrow Acoustic Guitar Lesson – Tab – Normal Tuning
this is an acoustic guitar lesson for “Man Of Constant Sorrow” by the “Soggy Bottom Boys” this is done in standard guitar tuning but is played in the same style. I play it with a capo on second fret. I also have a unique mid 8 / melody section that is really simple but helps to break the verses up. Check out our guitar lesson site for the tab.

An absolutely fantastic video of making simplistic by capoing at the 2nd fret! Thanks so very much!
you suck
@SchneiSing Wow… if your gonna troll do it properly.
@SchneiSing well the way i see it yu can play the song as perfectly as he did and post it as a video response, or you can leave
everyone I hear says the same thing “a easy song to play” I started 3 weeks ago after I retired. I just have trouble getting the rythmn down, I know the cords already. Got some really nice blisters the first week. I bought a electric first but could not match the tones. I bought a acoustic yesterday and still cannot match the tones. I think you did a very good job though. I will be back in a couple months
fuck u r good
cool dude….. thanks
thank you very much dude i can play haha god bless you
Excellent! thank you for this video. I really enjoyed it, it helped me learn this song. And I have that same exact guitar model, a Martin D-15 Custom – spruce top, rosewood back and sides. Great guitar, I love it.
EVRYONE CHECK OUT “Man Of Constant Sorrow(Cover)” SPELL IT THE EXACT SAME WAY IT BADASS IT’S THE FIRST ONE THAT POPS UP ON THE TOP
I LOVE YOUR ACCENT!
dude this aint correct man but decent playing
thanks
If you want to play it the way Dan does its in drop D with a capo on the 3rd fret. Acoustic Guitar Magazine had it tabbed out in one of their issues around the time the soundtrack was winning all those grammy awards.
lol I don’t recall seeing a capo on his guitar in that movie lol
I taught him everything he knows.
LOL did you say “could ya blow me?” at 1:58?
@Onewitnessus Lol yeah, but the guy who performed the song for the movie (Dan Tyminski) actually uses a capo. He plays it differently though, with the capo barring the 3rd fret as seen at the crossroads performance
@y0uRmOnKeY I did not know that I’ll have to look at it because my ear tells me it’s a drop D tuning with the B string taken up to a D as well (my ear can be wrong sometimes)
nice thanks for the awesome video lesson!
Come on man, no link to your website?
How do you say normal tuning and then use a capo??
